Our Program

Upon arrival at Crysler Park Marina, guests will receive a warm welcome and be introduced to the captain and crew.

We keep our onboard crew to a minimum to create a calm, comfortable, and supportive environment.

Before departure, we will provide a personalized overview of the day and answer any questions. We understand that everyone has different needs and comfort levels, so we take time to discuss expectations and ensure each guest feels comfortable before getting underway.

Guests may choose to participate in onboard activities such as:

Taking the helm and assisting with steering
Handling lines during departure or docking
Assisting with navigation
Learning basic boating knowledge and safety skills

Participation is always optional. Guests are equally welcome to relax and enjoy their time on the water without taking part in any activities.

Proof of service, such as a Veteran Service Card, military identification, or first-responder identification. Only the veteran or first responder arranging the charter is required to provide proof of service.

Privacy and Respect

Out of respect for all participants, we do not post photos from your charter unless they are voluntarily shared with us and permission is provided.

Guests are encouraged to share their experience on social media and tag us @veteran.owned.charters if they choose.

What we offer

We provide veterans and first responders with an opportunity to reconnect with themselves and the family members, friends, or support people they choose to bring.

Each charter is reserved exclusively for the participant and their chosen guests and is tailored to their needs, interests, and comfort level.

Guests may choose to participate in activities such as:

Learning how to cast off or secure the vessel at the dock
Discussing weather conditions and boating safety
Learning about navigation routes and local landmarks
Assisting with simple onboard responsibilities

Participation is always optional, and guests are equally welcome to relax and enjoy the experience.

Charters travel along the St. Lawrence River near Morrisburg and the Long Sault Parkway, offering opportunities to enjoy the region’s islands, natural beauty, and rich history.

Trips typically last approximately four hours, although timing can be adjusted based on weather conditions and the comfort and preferences of our guests. Guests are also welcome to enjoy a relaxed experience aboard without ever leaving the dock.

Depending on the weather and guests’ interests, additional activities may also be available including:

Kite flying
Visiting the nearby beach
Stand-up paddleboarding
Campfires
Other outdoor recreational activities

As we continue to build a program designed to make a lasting difference, after the charters all guests over the age of 18 are encouraged to fill out a brief online survey
